There is hope, however, because of the work of organizations like the Da
Vinci Science Center, as evidenced in the amazing story of 12-year-old inventor
Billy Schopf of Whitehall, Pa.
The Da Vinci Science
Center strives to provide every child in eastern Pennsylvania like Billy that
one experience, that one mentor that will inspire them toward a life-long
engagement with the sciences and open for many the path to in-demand careers
in science, math, and technology.
That is why the Da Vinci Science Center has begun its 50-For-50 Campaign
to sustain and grow its impact. The Center intends to raise $2.5 million
through the campaign that will allow the organization to pay off its building
on Allentown's Hamilton Blvd. Bypass, expand its programs, and utilize more
of its annual operations budget for programming.
We need your help! You are critical for sustaining and growing the
vital impact we have on students, teachers, and the community. The Da Vinci
Science Center has challenged its members and visitors to invest a $50,000
campaign gift unit collectively through their indiviual contributions.
