Da Vinci Science Patch Program

Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, and adults can earn a full Da Vinci Science Patch by completing four exciting science programs.

When a scout or adult attends his or her first Da Vinci Science Patch program, he or she earns the round Da Vinci Science patch and the rocker patch for that particular program. When a scout or adult attends an additional program, he or she will earn that particular program’s patch.

All four Da Vinci Science Patch programs will be offered for boys and girls each year beginning in the fall of 2010.

Pre-registration is required. Scouts must register as a den or pack. Cost: $45 per scout. Two adults per den admitted free.
Additional adults: $35 each. Price includes patch, activities, snack, and continental breakfast.

Science Patch Camp-in: Chemistry

Watch as we freeze things instantly in our liquid nitrogen demonstration. Science Patch Camp-in: Alternative Energy
Friday, May 7

Conduct hands-on experiments using solar energy, wind turbines, and hydrogen fuel cells while learning about the advantages of each of these forms of alternative energy.
Discover how electricity is generated and which household appliances use the most electricity.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for free time. The program starts promptly at 7 p.m. The camp-in concludes at 9 a.m. the next morning. A 25-percent deposit is required to hold a reservation. Full payment is required four (4) weeks prior to the camp-in date.
