DSC ANNOUNCES FALL SENIORS MONDAY WORKSHOP SCHEDULE
CANDY "GLASS," EAR WAX, AND A ROCK-SOLID HISTORY OF LIFE ON EARTH WILL HIGHLIGHT FALL SERIES FOR ADULTS AGES 62 AND UP.

Candy "glass," ear wax, and a rock-solid history of life on Earth will highlight the Da Vinci Science Center's fall series of Seniors Monday Science Workshops.
The popular workshops for adults ages 62 and up are presented with a special $4.50 admission price from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. and chances to win gift certificates from Lehigh Valley businesses. Each fall workshop will be presented in expanded 75-minute sessions from 12:15-1:30 p.m. and 1:45-3 p.m. The fall workshop schedule is as follows:
Science Rocks! - a geological look at prehistoric life from the Science Rocks! Traveling Museum of Natural History - Monday, Sept. 20;
Glass Acts - unique demonstration of the properties of glass, including the creation of candy "glass" performed by Dr. Bill Heffner from Lehigh University - Monday, Oct. 4;
Sound and Fury - a fascinating exploration of the human ear, unusual ear problems that occur, and hearing loss issues with Allentown-based audiologist Martin Sheetz, Monday, Nov. 8;
Candy Chemistry - colorful experiments by Just Born scientists, featuring Marshmallow Peeps and other sweet treats - Mon., Dec. 6.
The Da Vinci Science Center
announced its fall schedule Monday during workshops by Velocity Sports Performance
Allentown on the evolution of conditioning and strength training. Adults interested
in participating in Seniors Monday workshops are encouraged to provide an
