DA VINCI SCIENCE CENTER ANNOUNCES STAFF APPOINTMENTS
PRITCHARD NAMED EXHIBIT PROGRAMS COORDINATOR; ANDES NAMED EXHIBIT FLOOR COORDINATOR.

The Da Vinci Science Center announced today that it has made two appointments to its professional staff.

Jennifer Pritchard is the Center's new exhibit programs coordinator and science educator. Pritchard is responsible for developing new educational programming on the Center's exhibit floor and help provide its various educational programs for school groups and public visitors.

Before coming to the Da Vinci Science Center, Pritchard worked as an educator for The Academy of Natural Sciences and The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, with SeaWorld in San Diego, and the San Diego Natural History Museum. Pritchard has earned a master's degree in museum education from The University of the Arts, Philadelphia, and a bachelor's degree in marine science and sociology from the University of San Diego.

Jean Andes of Allentown is the Center's new full-time exhibit floor coordinator. Andes is responsible for managing the Center's exhibit floor staff and volunteers. Andes has been with the Da Vinci Science Center as a part-time exhibit floor coordinator since May 2006. Andes has also worked as an advertising sales executive, a production assistant for ABC News, New York, and a technical director and floor director for MTV Networks, New York. She has a bachelor's degree in broadcast communications from Penn State University.

The Da Vinci Science Center is an independent non-profit organization that promotes hands-on science learning through inquiry, highlights vibrant and important career opportunities in science available to every young person, and encourages all people to be curious and creative. The Da Vinci Science Center's exhibit floor, school and public workshops, outreach initiatives, and professional development programs for teachers stress the inquiry method. Utilized by scientists and recognized as the most effective way to learn, the inquiry method encourages questioning, experimenting actively, observing, communicating results, and connecting all knowledge.
