Girl Scout Days  l Girl Scout Camp-ins

Spend a fun Saturday morning with your fellow Cub Scouts at the Da Vinci Science Center. All programs include hands-on workshops and time to explore the Center's cool exhibits.

Price is $13 per scout. Registration begins at 8:45 a.m. The program starts promptly at 9 a.m and concludes at 12 p.m. Scouts are encouraged to bring a lunch and spend the afternoon exploring the science exhibits. Domino's Pizza also will be available for Girl Scout groups.

Brownies Colors and Shapes Try-It
Sat., Nov. 6
Discover the connection between science and art during this hands-on, creative and scientific program.  Get the scoop on the shapes of animal scat while decorating a hat to wear. Identify your fingerprints, and use them to make design your own characters.

Juniors Puzzlers Badge
Sat., Nov. 13
Come prepared to use science to solve puzzles and mysteries during this intriguing camp-in. Use chemistry to investigate which materials produce various reactions. Play a fast paced strategy game. Can you cut a piece of paper so you can walk through it?

Brownies Eco-Explorer Try-It
Sat., Jan. 29
Investigate plans and animals, and how they live together, as you earn your Eco-Explorer Try-It.  Dissect a flower and examine its parts under a microscope. Play a recycling game to learn how to sort and recycle everyday materials. Discover how plants, animals, and the environment interact in an ecosystem.

Sat., Feb. 26
Investigate the exciting world of space travel and what it’s like to live in space while earning the Aerospace Badge. Design your own paper airplanes and compare their flight paths. Discover how rockets work using Newton ’s Third Law of Motion.

NEW! Daisies Journey Award – Between Earth and Sky
Sat., May 7
Explore the wonders of nature while earning the Firefly Award of the Between Earth and Sky Journey. Watch a flower change color as it drinks water, examine different types of soil (including compost) to see which is best for growing plants, and plant a seed without using any soil and watch it grow at home.
